The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, released the White Paper on Post-school Education and Training on Thursday, 16 January 2014 after it was approved by the Cabinet on 20 November 2013.

NQF Amendment Bill

 

Cabinet, on 6 December 2017, approved the submission of the NQF Amendment Bill to Parliament. The Bill may be accessed here.

NSC Amendment: Entry to Bachelors Degree Studies

NOTICE

The new minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with:

  • A minimum of 30% in the language of learning and teaching of the higher education institution as certified by Umalusi.
  • An achievement rating of 50 - 59% or better in four 20-credit NSC subjects.
