Higher education policy refers to how higher education institutions are organised, funded and operated in society. In South Africa, higher education is organised as universities, universities of technology, comprehensive universities and private higher education institution. Whilst the former three (3) enjoy government funding to different degrees and are the official "public" side of the system, the private institutions do not enjoy government funding and does not have access to funding vehicles such as the National Student Financial Aid Scheme or the various government research funds.
We work with a number of higher education institutions (HEIs), both public and private, where we provide research, advise and training services in regard to a myriad of higher education matters including setting the institutional strategy, governance, quality assurance, enrolment planning, academic planning, student support services, academic administration, as well as advocating the role of higher education in our society.
